Lindsey is a Highland Park native; she studied classical theater at Choate Rosemary Hall in Wallingford, Connecticut, as well as The Steppenwolf Theatre in Chicago, and attended The Chicago Academy for the Arts. She graduated from the University of Southern California with an honors degree in Psychology, and has taught both pre-school and middle school.

In November, Lindsey hosted a solo show, artist’s workshop and lecture dealing with social prejudice, cultural identity and racism in America. This series ties in with her newest and highly controversial body of work entitled "Drift Or Die Trying" which she unveiled at the Around The Coyote Arts Festival in Wicker Park, Chicago this past October.

Lindsey's work is the result of the culmination of words, sounds and images essential to basic human existence. I derive much of my inspiration from the art which litters the country's streets, and from simply watching and dissecting people, objects and instances. Mixed media pieces are usually large format photographs on layered canvas- which are submerged in gels, glitter and acrylic paints to achieve a glazed appearance. The words are intended to have a poetic/scroll-like feeling, and can be read
and interpreted in multiple ways.
