Tanya Cooper knew she had a passion for painting at the age of 13. After receiving a B.A. in Studio Art at Northern Illinois University, she went on to receive a B.F.A. in Interior Design from the Illinois Institute of Art. After spending several years in the 9-5 world, she decided to focus solely on her art.
She started out painting murals which quickly lead
to starting her own business ”An Eye For Art”.

Tanya has since branched out from only painting murals. She has quickly become recognized as a “recycled artist”. She saves windows destined for landfills and turns them into works of art. After painting her trademark bold, whimsical themes, Tanya embellishes her art with a bit of flare by giving discarded jewelry a second life.

Tanya’s work will be featured and available
for purchase in our Gallery
from Sep 13th through October 31st, 2008.
