| John 'Mick' Ter Haar - Sommelier My passion for wine did not develop until I was in my mid-twenties. I was making my way through college and working late night shifts at a local restaurant where I was exposed to fine wine and gourmet cuisine. I am fortunate to have worked with some of the most renowned chefs in Colorado who have taught me the art of food and wine pairing. It was at this time that I was inspired to take my passion to the next level and earn my Sommelier Certificate. My career has allowed me to travel extensively throughout the wine regions of the Pacific Coast. I have been fortunate to develop lasting relationships with proprietors of wineries, winemakers and wine brokers and distributors during my visits to Napa Valley and Sonoma County. I take wine seriously, but not too seriously. After all it's just grape juice; really yummy grape juice! I truly enjoy indulging in the bouquet of aromas in every glass. When sipping wine, I like to imagine the vineyards where the grapes grew, the rolling hills and meadows and the local cuisine that will pair best with that bottle.
